Do you hear voices in your head?

And I don't mean insanity  

There was just something they said

That rattled around my mind

And It gives me headaches all the time

I can't give you a reason or a rhyme

It's was just some profanity  

Something about vanity  

Or a fantasy I can't see

But to me  

There was just something they said  

That left me lingering in my bed

and I won't remember if I end up dead

So please tell me what is it that they said
